Ladies and Gentleman of Islander Nation you can breathe easy. CHRIS SIMON IS GONE! Simon was traded to the Minnesota Wild today for a 6th round draft pick (even better than a bag of pucks!). Simon's enforcer role was something I think most Islander fans were getting tired of. The Isles have enough trouble scoring to begin with, they did not need a NFL linebacker with a stick on the ice not producing at all (Chris Simon reference). Hopefully this will allow the young kids with talent to gain some more NHL time. I'm very happy about this move, party on Garth.

WOOO SIMON IS GONE.... Earlier there was a post that said he was offered to all teams for a sack of pucks and a Baz lurhman CD, thats classic, i guess Best Buy in minisota was closed...and they were like heres a draft pick instead.
