Injury Update: Andy Sutton

It appears Andy Sutton's hamstring is worse than we all thought. Initially it appeared to just be a cramp in his hamstring and nothing too serious. This assumption was incorrect. Sutton tore his hamstring and will likely miss 4 - 6 weeks. Drew Fata was called up from Bridgeport to replace Sutton.

...this is terrible news for the Islanders. This now makes four Islander d-men injured (Campoli, Witt, Gervais, Sutton). Hopefully the Isles can ditch the injury bug soon because they are playing fantastic right now. I know Fata is a nasty fighter, but hopefully he can play some solid defense for a week or two.

terrible news on Sutton, he actually started looking decent defensively too.

Sutton was our key defenseman for the time being with all the injuries. Fata has a big role to fill. lets see how he performs on Wednesday. isles need a solid d to help DP

I dont expect Fata to get much playing time. Im sure the front line will be Martinek with either Berard, Meyer, or Bergeron. My guess is Meyer the way he has stepped it up lately. Just have to wait and see
